Catching you up!

The fam at Christmas

Ghost-writer Kari here. As you know, Mom is taking a little blog vacation while in the US. But that break is about to end on January 31st, so I thought I'd hop on here and catch you up to speed. That way once she's back to Budapest, it'll make getting back into blogging a little easier for her.

So... here's what you've missed!

Kari at 14 weeks and Kate at 12 weeks

Grandbabies are coming! Baby Masson is due in June and Baby Borders just three weeks later, in July. Now accepting nominations for grandparent nicknames. So far the top proposal for Mom is 'Mimi'. Dad is still saying he wants to be called 'Glenn'. So submit your proposals in the comments section!

The parents-to-be testing out gliding chairs at Babies R Us

In December, Mom and Dad went to Turkey for a conference, then came back to Georgia for Christmas with Chris and Kate. Jonathan and I arrived around New Year's Eve, so we were able to spend about 36 hours together before Chris and Kate flew back to New Jersey. But it looks like we'll see each other next Christmas as well - with the grandbabies! Definitely something to look forward to.

Decorating Christmas cookies with the family

Although the flight back to Budapest isn't until the 31st, Mom and Dad are busy packing now in order to meet shipping deadlines. Lots of boxes and trunks - not to mention daily trips to Wal-Mart. In fact, that's where Mom is right now...

Found a baby's first tool set!

So, come early February, check back here for an update straight from Cile! (And if there's not one, leave a comment to hassle her!)

Thanks, Kari! I definitely love Mimi for Cile. And no, Glenn, your grandbabies canNOT call you "Glenn". It's a respect issue... :<) Maybe "Gee"...? Or just "G"... if you want to be cool. Cile... waaaaaah that we never got together for at least a cup of coffee! Amazing how quickly months fly by, isn't it? I suppose we'll just send virtual (((hugs)))... unless you need help packing. Just let me know... :<)

How about Papa? I agree it is a respect issue. Our neighbors call their grandparents by their first names and it tears me up!

Looking forward to you starting to blog again.

Not Glenn.... every other person on the planet can call him Glenn, Baby Borders and Baby Masson need a very special term of endearment. Pop Pop sounds good, or the old standby of 'Grandpa' always works... but not Glenn... please! Looking forward to following Glenn and Cile as well as the growing families... Love,
Barbara

Still waiting for an updated post about the genders of babies :-)
