All aboard! (Borders fam trip, part I)
Bright and early on Tuesday: the fam headed to the bus stop near my parents' house. Luggage count: two backpacking packs, a rolling carry-on, two backpacks, two messenger bags, two computer bags, a purse, three coolers, and two bags of food.
First stop: Bus stop. Then the tramways to the train station.
Boarding the train from Budapest to Prague, via Bratislava in the Slovak Republic
Settling into our cabin, which held six people. Lucky for us because we all got to sit together. Lucky for all the other passengers because our loud chattering was contained in the cabin.
Someone decided he needed to go explore the train station. Don't worry - we didn't leave him behind.

Watermelon from the cooler as the train moves. Does this count as 'we had a meal in Bratislava'?
See? The sign says 'Bratislava'. (Just trust me, okay.?)
We certainly did not go hungry on this trip. Thanks for the brownies, Alvin and Mary!
Beauty sleep can look pretty ugly.

Hey Cile and Glenn!
I emailed but wanted to put a note in here, too...THANK YOU so much for the birthday package! It is all wonderful (except that I'm having to do hand-to-hand combat to keep Adam from eating all of "my" birthday goodies! I'll share... but he can't have it all!). You guys are simply amazing! In Cub Scouts, the first achievement for Bear is on Worship, and we had to discuss faith. One point was to discuss people who have/had great faith, and along with Moses, Mary, Paul, and Mother Teresa, you two were held up by Adam as examples of great faith. Thank you...for who you are and how He shines through you both!
hugs and love..
Pam and Adam
