Schöenbrunn Palace in Vienna is one of the most important cultural monuments in Austria and has been one of the major tourist attractions since the 60s - as in the 1860s.
The gardens
Walking around the huge, massive, gigantic, beautifully manicured grounds of the Palace
Mom pretending to walk for the camera
Chris and Kate looking very cute
So we threw 'em a challenge.
But I think these two won.
The fam going to hear the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra and the Schoenbrunn Chamber Ensemble perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss at the Orangery. (For the record, Mom did not wear her red parka to the performance.)
Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts at the Orangery, the very place where in 1786 a musical contest between Mozart and composer Salieri was held. (Don't believe me? See here.)
Kate and I read the program through a few times before it started.
As you can tell, Jonathan and Chris were super excited about some Mozart and Strauss.
